rockhaven farm in elgin, is one of my most favourite cape town wedding venues to shoot at. there is a beautiful wild overgrown field, above the dam, where, if you plan the timing of your shoot schedule well, you are almost certain to get a field that is lit up by a front light so dazzling, that it creates a dark plum coloured smudged sky just before the sun sets. none of these pics were photoshopped more than a little colour styling and contrast tweaking. a big thank you to lee-anne and jamie for allowing me the oportunity to shoot their beautiful wedding.

december madness catch up *

yeah, i know, i have been missing in action from the blogging thing for a while. instead, i have been chilling at montpelllier wine farm, riding horses, plastering myself in the sun and painting my fingers and toes, catching up at jason’s bakery, going to the beach, swimming – A LOT OF !!!! ( Robben Island swim 7.5km sans zootsuit is looming forth … april > i constantly smell of chlorine ! ) reading other people’s blogs ( mostly just miss moss, a blog abyss of extraordinary beauty and my brother’s blog ( the funniest guy i know ) on the imminent arrival of his first child, a girl called Riley Coffee Campbell. deserved relaxing after the december wedding rush madness that it always is.

so i have a few beautiful december wedding blogs for you. i’ll keep it short and sweet and wrap it up all in one* { so far }

this is andrea and luke’s wedding in the natal midlands, at their family farm, a well known wedding venue, which Andrea designed, called Netherwood. look out for the full story soon to be featured on the pretty blog. andrea was one of my most favourite brides…. i fell madly in love with her crazy family and shooting this wedding was one of the most wonderful experiences. she was as allergic to the wedding cheese as i was, and the two of us just instantly clicked. her dress, designed by best friend / bridesman Tiaan Nagel > insert special treat { look at tiaan’s wedding pics shot by black frame here } was another audrey hepburn movie, together with flesh jimmy choo’s and grey blonde ash hair to match the dress, stylish doesn’t quite describe it ! massive squeals of delight from me. i do love style ! PS oh to have a bathroom like that, i’d be wrinkled all the days of my life *

ha ha ha – this should be a feature blog just on Netherwood. bev & rob’s Nottingham Road wedding was held at Netherwood { already blogged on christmas day } but here is their film ….. if the bride and groom are looking like they have been on food rations for a while, it’s because they had just completed two ironmans … one in Switzerland and the other in Antwerp, just before their wedding . well impressed, i was ! insert very amusing treat here, especially for the bride and groom > click here for your treat Bev and Rob

diana and nicolas’s wedding in cape town at the insanely beautiful Tintswalo is more proof that i have the gods are on my side when it comes to always getting baking hot brides as clients. diana is literally a young Sophia Lauren look-a-like ! oooh, and i just instantly loved her too. crazy, energetic, loving and familiar … and … mexican ! capiche ! nicolas, the groom, is french / spanish, so my day was engulfed in a flurry of beautiful languages. enjoy …. the next couple of wedding blogs are coming soon soon { next week > hold thumbs }
